We are delighted that you have chosen to stay with us for your vacation

Come enjoy a relaxing, fun, and memorable vacation at The Cove


Our Home is located on a private 38-acre farm. The house is surrounded by a panoramic shoreline that extends over 1000 ft with direct access to the Choptank Riv

Our Home is located on a private 38-acre farm. The house is surrounded by a panoramic shoreline that extends over 1000 ft with direct access to the Choptank River. During your stay, you will find many beautiful landscapes around the home. In addition to the obvious water views of the Choptank River, sunrises and sunsets, you will also see many different types of native wildlife. The farm also has a small pond near Hudson Road. We sincerely hope you will enjoy your stay!

The keycode to the main door will be provided to you. To protect the safety of our guests, this digit is active upon your arrival and deleted at agreed departure time.

  • Please No smoking or Vaping of any kind


  • Please remove all outside shoes while in the house


  • Please do not adjust the geothermal settings in the utility closet, if any issue with the climate control please contact us


  • Please call the designated contact person for any repair concerns

  • Please keep speed limit to 10 mph when traveling through the gravel driveway


  • Please bag all trash including bottles and cans

  • Please do not leave any young children unattended at any time, especially near the water


  • Please treat our house with the same respect and care as you would your own home. We have put significant effort into making this space lovely and enjoyable for all guests


Prior to departure:


1. Please collect all trash in bags and put them in the trash bins


2. Please lock all the doors and windows


3. Please turn all water and electricity off


4. Please secure all kayaks and paddle boards


5. Please set thermostate to cool at 75 degrees in the summer and set to heat at 66 degrees during the winter

There is a reverse osmosis system for drinking water. The well water is tested and safe, but if you prefer RO water, the ded

There are 2 temperature zones in the house:

1. Main level – located by the family room wall

2. Second level – located by the hallway bath next to the kids bedroom


Overhead built-in speakers are located in the kitchen, family room, and screened-in porch. The control for this is on the shelf under the TV in the family room. Its called “Moukey Bluetooth stero amplifier. Turn channel to BT and connect it to your phone or any other BT enabled devices


Starter essentials are in the bathroom and kitchen. Please bring any extra necessities you think you will need for your stay


There is a handheld vacuum and a highchair in the utility closet


Fire extinguishers are in the pantry and under main kitchen sink


First-aid kit is in the pantry


The house has a coffee bean grinder, French press, Keurig machine, and a regular drip coffee machine


Other house essentials include a beverage fridge, a handheld mixer, a griddle, a blender, a steam pot, grilling tools, cooking necessities, baking necessities, etc.


2 high chairs are in the utility closet.


To Turn on the exhaust fan for the stove top, it is located behind the range hood and the button can be a little firm to slide


During peak summer season, Maryland Agriculture mosquito control truck will come between Wednesday 10 p.m. to Thursday 4 a.m. to spray the property for mosquitos. The product used is safe and there is no risk to children or adults, per MD Department of Agriculture. Occasionally, during a windy day/night, you may occasionally hear the vents in the crawl space vents bang against the walls underneath the house

The dock is approximately 60 feet long. Any guests with boats are welcome to dock your boat during your stay. Please check the tide charts and weather. During low tide the mean depth can get down to 2-3 feet by the dock. Electricity and water are available at the dock


Kayaks, paddle boards, and oars are available on the property. The maxim

Kayaks, paddle boards, and oars are available on the property. The maximum weight for the single kayaks is 300 lbs. Please bring your own life jackets (PFD). Please place all equipment back to its original location once you are done


The playground is located at the front of the house


A large sandpit is adjacent to the house; feel free to build a sandcastle! Our kids also love to dig there for treasure!


Some sporting equipments and fishing gear are in the shed


The Disc golf cage is located between the house and the barn


Please cover the fire pit with the provided screen when you are done. Firewood is provided


The outdoor grill is located adjacent to the screened in porch. A backup propane tank is available in the shed


Please avoid going into any area with tall grass. Part of the farm is kept in conservation and the tall native grass provides natural habitat for wildlife and vegetations
